Backwater tourism is a type of tourism where people travel to destinations that are not accessible by road. This includes places that are too remote or unsafe for cars. In this case, travelers take watercrafts or houseboats to get around.

Alleppey is a small town in Kerala, India. it's set at the mouth of the watercourse Vembanad Lake, wherever the sea meets the backwaters of the we have a tendency tostern Ghats. This place is known for its backwater tourism, particularly for boat rides. There are several places to go to during this area, however we have a tendency to visited the boat house. 


 

We employed a ship from the boat house and began our journey. We might immediately notice the difference between the ocean and the backwaters as soon as we entered the water. After approximately one hour, we reached our first destination, called "Kuttanadan Marayi". Here we have a tendency to saw several native fishermen making an attempt their luck in fishing. They used ancient strategies to catch fish. after they caught something, they transfer the fish in to a container. After the wonderful experience we continued  our journey on the backwaters.



 Alappuzha is known as the Venice of the East. This name was given by the British who were impressed by the canals of this place. There are many canals here. Some of them are used for transportation while some others are used for irrigation.
